Cartonboard

Cartonboard is all types of board that is used to make folding cartons (ie: folded boxes). It thus means mainly folding boxboard, but also some solid board, and some other grades that are bending quality. The softwood pulp content plus multi-ply composition allow these boards to be creased and folded without cracking.

The other important properties of these board grades generally are: Scott plybond, stiffness, caliper, bulk, and printability, plus adequate barrier properties for the end-use.
